The only decent version of this book - beware of cheap copies!
This book is hard to find. I bought another version that was probably a bit cheaper, but it was horrible quality! It was a wretched photocopy, all dark and awful, barely legible, and the last two pages were missing! I was so disgusted that I ordered this copy, which is so much better - reset in nice clean type, with no missing content. The translation is very old, like the King James Bible, but I like that. As for the story, it is Dumas! Pure romance - the heroes are flawless and the villains are despicable. Altogether, a great escape into fantasy, when reality isn't much good any more.

Incredible
This translation is over 200 years old - I guess it has stood the test of time . . .
Of course, you have to be interested in this stuff, but if you are, this is a must read. I already knew that Pythagoreans don't eat beans, but there is so much more.
