Visually pleasing and operationally good.
Altough Mainline 00 Guage Models are now some 40 years old; this particular LNER J72 Tank Locomotive is visually in a very good condition.
Operationally the Mainline J72 model Tank Locomotive has the weight and adhesion to shunt (forwards and reverse) a rake of 5 Pullman Coaches as required of a Station Pilot Locomotive, without wheel slip on both straight and curved track and fiddle yard points.
