Interesting curious piece of early television history.
2 of 2 found this helpful Was curious seeing this available again, after decades of being banned as racist. I remember this from TV in childhood, and was more impressed with the vaudevillian aspect. Haven't watched it all, gonna go slow, but I remember some cleaver episodes. Growing up in Detroit, it also seemed like part of the environment. The episodes I've seen the writing isn't so hot yet, plays more like a black Grade-B Seinfeld. Distinct personality's that all get along, besides their crazy moments. Curious piece of early television history. Truman, Eisenhower years.

Dad turned me on to this back in my youth. Just my kind of silly, this album was my favorite back in the day, and alakazam, a CD, after the LP got lost forever years ago. This guy was having great fun, living the dream
