Not up to standard - Suffers from 'Sync on sound' buzz when fed with high contrast video
This unit has been built to a price and has corners cut with the circuit design. Although it functions as described, there is a problem with 'sync on sound' caused by very poor supply decoupling between the video and audio amplifier sections. This results in a sync 'buzz' on the audio output when the unit is being fed with high contrast level video. I soldered extra capacitors across the supply rails of each stage which reduced the problem by about 80% but did not eliminate the noise completely. Eventually, I gave up and purchased a second hand (ex broadcast equipment) distribution amplifier for a few pounds more than I paid for this new which worked 100% perfectly. For normal domestic use, this will probably be fine, but if you want a quality product from an amplifier, I would buy something else. I wouldn't recommend this unit which is basically a piece of cheap Chinese made junk.

A good replacement motor - Excellent value for money
This is a good quality motor which performs as well as the Dyson original unit. Very impressed for the price!
