Recto Verso proves that the best stuff takes a while to reveal itself
A well presented package and the music is still growing on me. I bought this mainly for a CD copy of Belle and my interest in French pop generally.
Initially I thought the main CD a bit random stylishly and less cohesive than I was expecting. The bonus CD somehow seems a bit more authentic to me - perhaps it is earlier material and a little less produced...
Further listens and it's all beginning to make more sense and flow together as an album, and my initial qualms have been replaced by enjoyment and absorption!
That the best stuff always takes a while to reveal itself is proven yet again here.

Better than I remember
Bought this on vinyl when it came out and, like many, I felt disapppointed after the brillance of High Land, Hard Rain, ambivalent at best. So I never bothered with it on CD. Now to complete my set of Edsel delixe reissues I have, and I like it a lot more than I remember. Particularly the Animal Magic guitar parts on certain tracks which haven't featured on Azttec Camera's or Roddy Frame's later work.

Good quality and effective
Nice quality matt black finish leather with red painted insides. Not a posh pouch, but effective at keeping my alox classic knife from getting scratched in my pocket - which is what it is for after all.
