Amazing. Superbly detailed sound, and you have a DAC to make other digital sources sound amazing as well.
Superbly detailed sound. I didn't appreciate that CDs could actually sound this good. It make every CD player I have had up until this point look decidedly mediocre. Sound stage, detail, instrument separation all improved.

Brilliant Sound and Hard-to-Find Functionality
It does two things really well:
1. It is a great DAC - doing a far better job than most CD players, all TVs, tablets and phones. Clarity, definition, sound stage all improved, with a really sweet tone.
2. It is a pre-amp - that is to say it switches between digital sources and controls the volume.
It also looks and feels like a quality piece of kit. Brand new it was over £1000.
It is a bit like an AV amp really but for hifi buffs. It is really hard to find alternative devices that do a similar job and do it so well.
