    Nikon NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 G SWM AF-S IF N ED Lens

Probably the best super wide zoom that I have used
First things first, this is a serious piece of glass and weighing in at just over 1Kg which means at least two when you hang it off a pro DSLR it's not a lens for the casual user, but then the price should tell you that too. So provided your gym membership is up to date let's crack on. There is a reason why this is classed as one of Nikon's holy trinity of zoom lenses, it's sharpness is just fabulous I've not pushed its maximum aperture yet, but I'm pretty sure it will deliver given the results that I have seen so far. This lens replaced my lovely Sigma 17-35mm f2.8 and for me the extra couple of mm at its widest is a real bonus, the slight downside is the fact that it only goes to 24mm, but teamed with the Nikor 24-70mm f2.8 it makes a perfect travel kit particularly for architectural work. So in conclusion a great lens to use I have two fx cameras and I am loving the results that I have got so far just be prepared to feel the effects after a full day's shooting.

    Great camera with some limitations
So first, if you want lightweight this is not for you, it's a serious piece of Nikon pro hardware and weighs in as you would expect. I've had mine for five months now and pushed it through all sorts of conditions. For landscape and portraiture it is fabulous, the 24MP sensor is wonderful especially if you are shooting in RAW. I recently did some doggie portraits and the detail in the images is phenomenal. The down side is low light, it does tend to get noisy at higher ISO's not so obvious for shoots like night time cityscapes, but for low light event work especially where good flesh tones are required it struggles, lots of work in Lightroom to get half decent images, I have a D750 that completely knocks the socks off it in these conditions, but for a newer camera that's hardly surprising. In conclusion it isn't an allrounder, but if you appreciate its limitations you get a lot of camera for your money

    A fabulous all round lens
This really is a super lens as a standard zoom, it's wonderfully fast 2.8 aperture allows so much flexibility for low light work, portraiture and so much more. It has fabulous sharpness through all focal lengths even when operating at its maximum aperture and it's super fast internal focus is a joy to use. If there is a negative it isn't a light lens particularly when hung off one of the pro Nikon bodies such as my D3X, but as someone who is used to lugging a 300mm 2.8 around this is a minor downside for such a great optic.
