Fun stuff
I bought this collection of stories by J. Sheridan Le Fanu because I share the same last name as the character Father Purcell of these supernatural tales. So far I have enjoyed reading them. The language - these were written in the 1840s - is dated but once you get into it, these are definitely worth the effort.

Best of the “what ifs”
Harry Turtledove is one of my favorite authors, and once again he fails to disappoint. This series follows the classic question “what it the confederacy had won the American civil war” and extrapolates the consequences beyond the obvious. It’s grand fun, and well worth reading.
