NOISY but makes good jerky
I have to keep this dehydrator in my bathroom when I use it because it is noisy. also it has no settings and plugging it in turns it on. Over all it works as intended, and I made yummy jerky last weekend with it to great avail.

This book has relevant content, it just lacks what makes a good edibles book standout.
I can sit for hours looking into wild edibles. This book is informative and certainly doesn't do a poor job, it could use more photos of the plant, during perhaps alternate seasons, for better identifying.

Field sketches are just not effective when identifying roots.
Don't buy this book if you are headed out to gather wild roots and tubers. The book does not have pictures of the plant of which you are taking the root, or even drawings [as all included pictures are just sketches of the roots themselves and may as well be your uncles field notes]
Its a good book to read about some of the uses of the roots but not for identifying for harvest.
