Worth every penny - as long as you like the best linear switches on the market and tasteful visual flair!
2 of 2 found this helpful The Steelseries Apex Pro is the best modern keyboard I've ever used. The Omnipoint Hall Effect switches are extremely smooth and pleasant to use. The keyboard looks wonderful with well-bundled and extremely vibrant RGB, a normal, charming keycap font, unlike other "gaming" keyboards.
Adjustable actuation means you can set the key responsiveness to whatever suits your needs - high up for responsive gaming or further down into the travel for more accurate typing.
The wrist rest is extremely comfortable and actually improves my typing speed - it's made of a soft-touch material that DOES not pick up on fingerprints.
The keycaps aren't very durable, but for lasered ABS keycaps, they do not shine or pick up on fingerprints or oils nearly as bad as other keyboards I've tried.
The keyboard is light but feels sturdy, with a plastic rim that protects the beautiful aluminium top plate from scratches from the side. Speaking of build quality, the cable is extremely thick and rubberised, which I much prefer over braided as it reminds me of vintage keyboards with their thick cables.
I'll finish by saying the OLED screen is a really cool touch. I initially used it to display a gif, but I think it is MUCH cooler with the actuation screen displayed - from which you can change the actuation and view how far the keys are being pressed.
