top value for the mature fisherman
This is my second battle ii 3000 and i use it for competition fishing using light bobbers and fishing from wadding positions using very thin lines (0,005"-007").
at this size it is not a reel to drag a big fish up and out of the water to a height (as when fishing in cliffs) but anything around 2lbs i am confortable with it.
the reel is prone to yielding windknots if the reel is spooled with too much line (the line capacity indicators on the spool seem to indicate to fill between the two lines, but i find it more confortable to spool near the first line to avoid wind knots). because of this, you don't have a smoother line release on casting which can compromise distances a bit -- the wider the spool the freer the line release).
this aside, i like this reel and just wished it came with an extra spool to give me a bit more range of utilization.
