A pleasant summer read.
A pleasant Laura Lippman Maryland/Baltimore centric thriller. A little predictable and the ending is less then compelling but a very pleasant summer read.
Much more interesting however if you are from Baltimore and/or live on the Eastern Shore then if you do not know the region. Otherwise some of the place references can be a bit confusing or even meaningless i.e. Rodgers Ave Balto, various street names, and of course the setting of the main events in flat, rural Eastern Shore, "Belleville" in Delaware (so called LSD ~ lower slower Delaware).

Behind the Scenes
A.G. Barr she’d light on a number of issues both in the ‘90s and in the last administration that made no sense in the media reporting. A good read and some useful historical tidbits as well.

Title says it all.
The concept of the well known author combining true life situations with a “Whodunnit “ seemed contrived. Horowitz mostly pulls it off though the end is a bit “Deus ex machina “.
