1879 Morgan Silver Dollar
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought an 1879 Morgan Silver Dollar for investment purposes. With the declining value of the dollar, silver is an increasingly good option when seeking to stave of the effects of inflation, among other things. Although it took a while to get this particular coin, I was satisfied with the coin. It was as advertised. The condition of the coin wasn't important to me, but it is a pretty nice coin for the money. If you are buying silver coins for investment purposes, it is best to buy silver halves, quarters and dimes, as they can be bought for less of a premium than silver dollars, which are treated as collector coins more often than investment coins. Overall, I'm happy with this coin and the purchase I made through ebay. The Morgan silver dollar was minted off and on from 1878-1921 and is a very attractive design. There is something special about having a big silver dollar in your hand. It has real value, unlike the fiat money currently in use in the United States.

Wedge cushion arrived on time, was well packed and just as described. It is soft when sitting on it in my truck and is wide enough that you don't have to reposition as required with some of the other smaller and harder cushions. I look forward to using this wedge in my truck and if it works well enough over time, I may buy another for use in my home office.

A funny look at issues we should be able to discuss openly and truthfully.
I show Amos and Andrew to my sociology students to illustrate the fallacy of racial stereotyping. This film allows us to examine several commonly held beliefs. Even in a sociology class, discussing race can be very difficult, and Amos and Andrew allow us to think about our prejudices without getting so emotionally involved. I only wish that we could speak openly and honestly about all matters of race. Amos and Andrew could do without some unnecessary bad language, and the volume of some of the dialogue is almost too low to hear, but this film leaves me wishing Nicolas Cage still made comedies.
