Bad luck?
Well, this is the second one of these I've purchased, and both have had bad cable ends (body pack side) straight out of the box. Abundant static with minimal movement. The sound translation is pretty impressive, a little heavy on the lows, regardless of EQ, but I like that (personal preference). It simply boils down to the connectivity issue. Time to upgrade...

Never looking back
I was a loyal user of Ken Smith strings for years. With availability seeming to dwindle, I had to consider other options. Tried just about everything on the market, then at the suggestion of a fellow bassist, I tried these. Unbelievable. Never going back. The steels are awesome, and not “grabby” on the fingers, the way new steels often are. Marvelous product.
