Science Fiction Done Right.
There are many arguments about making a movie from a book, things being lost in translation, not presenting the characters appropriately and so on....However, even though this is a remake of the original movie I feel it stands true to why science fiction is one of the most intriguing and thought provoking genre's. Whether you like George Clooney or not his acting is on point as well as Natascha McElhone's. This is science fiction at it's best. But do not expect an action packed alien blazing experience. This film is more of a cerebral love story. It is shot beautifully and the score truly sets the scenes being portrayed.
If this genre is for you, then this is a movie worth spending time with. The bonus footage is fantastic; the building of the set, how the cinematography should be shot, and interviews. It even includes the screen play, word for word.
