Works a treat
We have rather a large fireplace that holds in the heat from our stove, so we needed a fan to get the heat out into our room. The fan starts up automatically as the fire catches hold and then speeds up as the stove reaches normal operating temperature. It then blows hot air out of the fireplace into the room really well, although you shouldn't imagine that this is as powerful as an electric fan. Due to the size of the fireplace we use two fans placed on top of the stove.

Works a treat. Used the full roll under a rug of 1 x 1.5m on a polished hardwood floor.
