Excellent Jaco 55lbs electric motor for small boats.
I use the Jaco motor on a large lake in Brittany to propel my Mirror dinghy since fuel motors are not allowed on this reservoir due to fishing and domestic water use. It has been brilliant so far. If I use the top no 5 setting it pushes my boat much faster than those of my sons who paid more for their 55lbs trolling motors and my 120Ahr battery lasts an hour. Using only the 3 and 4 drive settings the battery lasts 2 hours even though my charger only goes up to 80Ahr charge in theory.
We have enjoyed many miles of quiet travel on the lake. I am confident of its use on estuaries too and look forward to calm conditions at the right tide levels to give it a try. If it lasts several years then it will have been a fantastic buy. Highly recommended after its initial 2 months of use. JRe
