Used Cordless Circular Saw Puts My New Craftsman Out to Pasture
2 of 2 found this helpful I received a very nice Craftsman corded circular saw for Christmas last year but couldn't pass up a used cordless circular saw I saw on eBay. It came without battery and an old blade, but with batteries from my cordless drill and a new blade, this has been my best tool purchase in a long time. I used this to cut mainly 2x stock for a deck railing and reinforcement project and was able to use this all day long without the arm fatigue my heavier corded saw caused. I also like that the blade stopped almost as soon as I let up on the trigger switch. The 18V battery powered the saw with ample force to cut cleanly and allowed me to make very accurate cuts. It also required minimal battery changes during the work day and the batteries recharged quickly. The sole plate was broad enough for accurate vertical cuts and slid smoothly over the board surfaces. Even a long rip cut in a 1x3 went smoothly and accurately thanks to its good balance. Two drawbacks cropped up over the several days of use. First, the guide slot on the front of the saw does not quite line up with the blade--but the blade is easily visible as you cut and so guiding the blade along the cut line is very easy. Second, the lever to keep the sole plate locked had a tendency to loosen over a number of cuts and could use some tensioning. Perhaps a washer underneath will cure that. Given that this was a used tool, some of this may be due to previous use, but all in all, I am very pleased with the DeWalt DC390 and it will be my go-to saw for cutting jobs from now on.

What's not to like?
They're round, real wood, and stack into each other. What's not to like? A nice change from plastic pieces when I pull out my wooden board. Definitely a good value for the money.

Superb speaker wire without the hype.
3 of 3 found this helpful I was looking for a flexible, 12 gauge speaker cable and this fits the bill perfectly. Other cables I'd tried were either too stiff or too expensive for the shorter runs I needed. Buying in 10' lengths (sold in one piece for multiples) enables me to make shorter runs easily. The super flexible blue cover looks good, and the thin wires making up the full 12 gauge are easy to connect to banana plugs or to solder. No need for hype about performance--these are oxygen free copper speaker wires suitable for the best speakers you may own.
