Great value kits that look good.
1 of 1 found this helpful This was purchased for use as a wargaming model rather than just a display model. Compared to other models of WW1 planes at this scale (1/144) it offers fantastic value of 4 planes for £12.95. The kits themselves are simple but have enough detail on them, the slight drawback is how fiddly some of the brass etched parts are to attach. That takes a little bit of patience, good superglue and some bluetac or similar for holding parts in place.
I managed to knock out all four planes in a few hours (spread over a few days due to work) the Fokker Dr.1 is easier than the Sopwith Camel as two sets of wings are attached to the body of the plane which gives a decent base for the struts to fit to.
All in all a good value kit and I will certainly get more of these Valom 1/144 kits.
