better than the ones with the 'clip on' style valve...
1 of 1 found this helpful this pump has the more fiddly but better (in my opinion) screw on adaptor... i find that the other type can let air out as you fit the adaptor on to the tyre valve, and then, if you can't get it to seal properly, you end up with less air in the tyre than you started with, but this screw on type, although a pita with cold fingers, either seals properly or it doesn't... far better for motorcycle tyres....

better than replacing the foil on it's own....
i bought the foil on it's own which is cheaper but i found that it became detached occasionally, buying the foil and frame together means it is attached properly and doesn't pop out of the frame... yes this is more expensive than the foil on it's own, but as the foil doesn't detach unexpectedly, there is no chance of it being damaged by the cutter....
