Just like normal socks
Just like normal socks- no compression element at all.

Disappointing
This product is supposed to be extendable, however, you have to press hard with a nail to depress the button to change it because it sits below the level of the outer pole. The two poles are not actually linked in any way so you have to be careful not to end up pulling the top one out of the bottom one. Also, this means that it is very hard to actually match up the holes between the outer one and inner one, so you’ll pretty much only use it on the most extended setting. Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.
