Problem with cartridges

It was not easy to set up because after forty eight hours of trying the ink ran out of both cartridges and nothing was printing from the start so I took out the cartridges and saw they were very much out of date so I ordered some new ones through Amazon and now the machine is working. I cannot give this printer five stars because of this problem and I nearly returned the printer but luckily I saw the problem which should not have happened.
