A useful resource for the teacher and student.
I use this book frequently with my students. It covers the basic technical skills required by beginners to approximately Grade 4 in a digestible and enjoyable way. It can regarded as a collection of exercises to work through systematically as the student approaches the grade, a means of practising a particular skill that arises in one of their pieces, and as a self-development tool for an adult learner. There are instructions on how to practice each exercise. There are ideas and tips for further development and explanations presented in a fun way, along with 6 'projects' under different headings about the piano.

Very enjoyable
This was a present for one of my students who had just passed grade 6 - it includes a grade 7 piece set by one of the boards, but also it has a wide variety of styles which might give pleasure to this sixth-former for ages.
