Thermal paste is necessary for putting back a heat sink!
I had opened up my laptop to clean the fan out as it was very noisy and overheating. What I didn't realise was the fact that I needed a thermal paste to put the heat sink back together. I assembled the laptop without the thermal paste as I didn't have one; my laptop would turn on for a minute or so and switch itself off till it got to a point where it wouldn't stay on for longer than a second. I thought that I had broken it completely! I bought this thermal paste and the delivery was prompt. I opened up the laptop and applied it to the heat sink; put the laptop back together and turned it on holding my breath! The laptop turned on and stayed on as I anxiously counted the minutes. It stayed on and worked very quietly. I have my laptop back which now works with little noise and no longer overheats! So in terms of the product, it works brilliantly! I haven't tried any other brand so I can't compare. My review is based on how relieved I am now because of the thermal paste but the service was very good. I shared this story in case someone was having similar problems with a laptop. The thermal paste application to the heat sink is essential!
