Its not as bad as everyone makes out
Ok, so firstly we must go into this knowing it's a wave shooter. There's no locomotion. So we have to review it as a wave shooter.
As a wave shooter, it's OK. I like the soundand graphics and gives us a much needed military style shooter. PSVR is full of sci-fi / horror shooters.
The game is not without its issues which is why it's only an average wave shooter. If these were addressed, it could be an excellent wave shooter.
1. Aim controller tracking. I often found I had to shake my controller to get the on screen gun tracking
2. Scale. Everything is massive to the character. The gun is huge. The sight maps on screen much higher than the top of the aim controller. The vehicles are also huge. It's like my character is a child
3. Immersion. The 3rd person view is a little off putting when transitioning from one location to another but not a deal breaker. I feel this was added to show off the good graphics. The fact that you cannot alter the amount of cover you have by moving your head is a real shame. If you're behind a car and getting shot from an angle, you cannot change that without relocation.
With the above in mind, I would say I still have a lot of fun. When the tracking is working, it works well. Aiming down the sights and hitting the target is very rewarding, especially with the sounds once you're passed the first bridge area where the enemy gun sounds are a little repetitive.
There's definitely some fun to be had here if you go in with your expectations low. It's not worth the retail price, but at £10 or maybe £15 it could be worth it if you have that military itch to scratch.
