LG 55NANO866NA Nano86 55 Inch TV Smart 4K Ultra HD LED Freeview HD and Freesat
    21 Nov, 2020
    Superb TV for the money.
Ordered this LG Nano TV after reading about features it has that are normally only found on expensive TVs. Features including, 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, support for AMD Freesync, upto 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, VRR - Variable Refresh Rate - Handy for the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X. Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, 4K Upscaler, HEVC - 4K@120P, 10bit, Quad Core α7 Gen3 CPU, eARC / ARC (Audio Return Channel), in-built Google Assistant and Alexa. Thats a lot of features, especially new and up and coming tech, for a TV less than £700 (£679), even cheaper if you can find the 49" version. Setup was straight forward, lots of menus, and sub menus all using the LG pointer - this is much improved over older LG TVs where there was always pointer lag - this TV there hardly any lag. Picture quality is superb, and a massive upgrade from my 4 year old Sharp Aquos 50" 1080p. The 4k upscaling of 1080p Freeview TV is superb, and the Motion Pro makes everything look really smooth. The Eye Care mode is handy, and gives the picture a more red tint to aid tiring eyes late at night. ECO mode is actually quite usable, although the contrast is a little low due to lower power usage. This TV is 55" and is huge, even the box was bigger than my old 50" TV. The stand is a centtre-based stand, so no need for a really huge TV cabinet or table. Sound is actually pretty good, and enabling ultra surround gives the sound a lot more depth and space. You can use Bluetooth to add wireless speakers, or use the TV's digital-out port and connect Dolby Atmos capable speakers and systems. For £679, you can't go wrong, and to get better than this then you would need to goto LG's OLED range costing well over £1000.

Sony FD Trinitron KV-14LT1U 14" CRT Television, RGB Scart 4:3 ratio retro gaming

Great CRT TV for Retro machines.
This is a great TV for retro gaming. Perfect size, not too small, not too large. The quality of the picture is amazing. When you select noise removal from the menu, it just slightly takes away that moving noise you see in scart/composite and RF signals. The quality of the RF picture is the best I have yet seen on a TV this size. It produces a really clean image from my systems like Atari 2600, 7800, Colecovision, Intellivision, TI99/4a, etc.. It really shines for these old consoles and computers that have RF only. It doesn't have many connections, Scart, composite on the front, and RF. You can always do what I have done and buy quality multi adapters for both Scart and Composite. The main menu is easy to use, and tuning is nice and easy - you can even name your own found channels - great if you have a lot of retro machines that don't all share the same RF channel. Overall, I would recommend one, or even two, of these great TVs.
Dust Cover For Old Style 15" Monitor
    31 Jul, 2018
    Great covers, for the money.
For a 14" CRT TV or Monitor, these work great. They're good value for money, and protect the CRT from dust. I wouldn't think they would fit over a 15" CRT, they are already a tight fit on my Commodore 1701 14" CRT, and my Sony Trinitron 14" CRT TV. So, anything bigger would be too tight to fit over. I don't think they would protect from UV light, so a beige-coloured CRT would/may still yellow. I got these mostly for dust and dirt, and they protect from exactly those things.
