For the die-hard fan only
I am a keen STP fan, but this album failed to satisfy. My nostalgic memories of their Unplugged performance should have only been sated by watching the performance on Youtube.
Instead, I discovered that this was available on vinyl and decided it would be a great addition to my LP collection. Alas, I was sorely disappointed. The quality of the recording is terrible. It sounds as if I had connected my phone to my sound system and played the unplugged performance through Youtube. Upon playing the record for the first time, I had to check my sound system settings, because I thought there must be some sort of problem there. Nope, it's the record itself.
Coupled with the bad sound is that the album comes with a 'bonus' track of 'Vasoline', which has no right to be on this album and sounds worst than all the other songs. Furthermore, it's inserted at the end of side 1, so basically in the middle of the album rather than the end.
Avoid this album, unless you are a die-hard STP fan and you want to complete your collection of all things STP.
