confusing at first but now gradually feeling more comfortable with use.
I bought the Oregon 550T recommended to me by a good friend. After researching I saw that this was the most up to date and comprehensive GPS system for me as it could be used for fitness..to track running routes and calculate exact distances and times, it allowed you to mark you route and record by way of photos and allowed you to store your routes. I also wanted to remember accurately where I had covered on Metal detecting trips, again more accurate than my memory giving you exact plot of the route covered.
I also sail and the mapping provides coverage for the routes I required. Again way points and marking a useful addition.
I did find that buying a further mapping of my local National park a must as I wanted to enhance the capability more for me.
Have not tried much else yet. It does baffle me as it has so many features but so did an I phone originally.
So recommended for people who are serious about outdoor activities and accurate recording of all sorts of routes.
I feel it may baffle a novice user initially.

Is cheap, looks cheap, but does the job..
As always things look different when you see them from their eBay pictures... first thoughts were this looks too flimsy ...
Instead of giving up I thought for this price it's worth a go...
I put it on and it did a grand job.. so I bought a second one..
I think that sums it up..
