Thought provoking
Enjoyed this book and thought it improved the more I read. Style took a bit of getting used to and I didn't particularly like or warm to the characters. It was quite harrowing reading in places - and disturbing on how the justice system treats victims. I didn't like the ending - seemed a bit vague and left unanswered questions. However it did make me think how difficult life could be made by events such as this.

Quirky story
Read this book as it was chosen by the book club I belong to rather than choosing it to read for my own pleasure. It's an easy read and flows well but the characters didn't appeal to me and the story was rather bizarre. Maybe it lost something in translation? I didn't hate it but neither did I love it.
