Apple Magic Trackpad
My original trackpad, ie the type with the two AA batteries became very suspect following ages of a maddening situation where the cursor would keep jumping backwards within the text. Despite many similar situations experienced by other Mac users and countless solutions which came to nothing, I finally bit the bullet and forked out for what is a typically expensive Apple product.
That said, the Magic Trackpad seems to have cured the jumping cursor problem (for me at least).
Its plusses are its larger area, shallower incline, very smooth surface and finally not needing to buy AA batteries for it as it's recharged via USB when necessary. As such, the plusses outweigh its cost.
