D7000 does very well
I was looking for something for my wife that was a little lighter than the D300 she was using and one that would do better in low light. The Nikon D7000 seems to be just what she needed. It is a little smaller and lighter than the D300 and does very well shooting in low light(high ISO).

Lens is sharp, feels good in my hands, and was a great value for the price.
1 of 1 found this helpful Even though this lens is constructed of mostly plastic, it still feels good in my hands and has not been a disappointment as far as being sharp. The 85mm end is good for portraits and the 24mm end is fair for landscapes. My only complaint is the lens shade is a little too close to the zoom ring when I bring it back to 24mm. I have large hands and the shade bumps into them. I could leave the shade off, but I like it on my lenses for added protection. Overall, very good lens for the price.
