I have two of these in X79 MBs. Bought this as a spare. I run VMs using VMware and these are cheap, reliable, and fast enough to do development.

Nice upgrade using a Xeon E5 V4 to replace an I7 of the same vintage.

It was $25 and used in a $49 X99 MB to replace a +10 year old HP MB with and I7 6880. I could even use the DDR4 used in the HP. Simple replacement. Probably about twice as fast running winders 7 and all the software.
