it's packed with all kinds of humour
For those whom like ' Home Fires' which is on T.V. in England .
Well it's simular period but during the war.... Joan Jonker really involves us once you open the book it's like harry potter transferred us and we become part of the family ..
There's laughter and tears and the reader gets involved so much that the characters some agree with us. and we end up agreeing , sympathising with them (the charcters) it's an enjoyable book once you have read one you want to read another of Joan's ...
Sadly she passed away a few years ago as i wanted to tell her ... Thank you so much for writting such wonderful books ..In a way i think Joan was one of the characters and maybe her aunt also played a auntie type character.
you will not be disappointed ... more like enlightened..and like i do hold the stories to my heart....

Enjoyable
Great value smashing writtng brilliant authour i have read 6 of his books . So it's worth to put your feet up grab a drink and make ya self comfy and read ithey can be put down .

great value all round
what a lovely book bit sad but i am only at the start i shall look forward to reading ... what i also found is the amount that i have been saving on books and other items that i know i could not afford ....so thank you ebay
