follow apple instructions if you can't get it to connect
Arrived later than date specified, but within a week.
At first I couldn't get the airpod to connect to my old airpod case, but after following this guide from apple it worked fine.
Search for the page: "Set up your replacement AirPods or charging case"
(If the status light still flashes amber, connect the case to power, close the lid and wait 20 minutes. Then open the lid and press and hold the setup button again for a few seconds until the status light flashes white)
If yours is also not working I would try this, I can;t speak on longevity since I've only had them a few days but the airpod does seem to be working exactly as my old one.
