Used, not new.
One atomizer was corroded and malfunctioning, apparently it was used, not new. One of the two stems fit loosely, indicating wear.
The pipe itself is a nice unit, comfortable to hold, and it delivers very good amounts of vapor, similar to smoke from a tobacco pipe.
I do like this epipe, but wouldn't have purchased if I had known it was used.

Very small response window
This block sounds wonderful when struck with a ball mallet within the very, very small dead center -- any deviation from that window and the sound drops off rapidly. Using a drumstick gives a weak response regardless of where you strike, regardless of stick type. As long as you strike it in exactly the right spot, with a proper mallet (the one that comes with it is okay, but tiny), it will produce a very satisfying wood block sound. But that response window is extremely small and precise. Strike it anywhere else, the sound is small and weak.
