Not very effective
1 of 1 found this helpful Hi. I tried to 'go cheap' with this mini cutter, but it doesn't appear able to stay on one spot - instead screwing its way along the pipe. I then bought a larger cutter that was immediately excellent. So - though the supplier was excellent and the item was as described, it's just not very good at the job in my experience.

Really great book!
Very interesting insight into beekeeping a more natural and less 'standard' way. Good for the bees!

An excellent beginner's guide to back garden beekeeping
1 of 1 found this helpful I was recommended this book when I contacted my local beekeeping association with a view to starting my own back garden bee colony. I'm only looking at a few hives in a relatively 'normal' urban garden, so this book was invaluable for understanding if this was a realistic goal and how best to go about it. As well as some basic science behind the workings of a colony and bees themselves, this book will instruct you about equipment, techniques and good practices. I'd recommend this if you are considering taking some bees into your life... and garden!
