Pilot Namiki E95s Fountain Pen, Black, Gold Trim, 14k Fine Nib

Pilot nailed it with the new version

I owned an older version of this pen from 10 years ago. Never really loved the nib. But this one.... without a doubt, as a pen dealer friend recently noted, the best value in gold-nib fountain pens on the market currently. Even if it looks oddly short closed.... when open with the cap posted, it has lovely lightweight balance. And the nib (at least the fine) is in that ideal sweet spot: smooth but not too smooth, with just enough resistance to keep your writing focused. Highest recommendation.

Simple, elegant teapot

This kyusu is well-made and solid. It has great balance when pouring. And it's large enough for two smaller cups of tea, if you're sharing gong-fu style. Just feels right in my hand.
