Velodyne Impact-10 Subwoofer
This is a really good subwoofer. A bit more expensive than others but it has a very compact enclosure and packs a lot of punch. This is a 10" driver but it puts out a lot of low end oomph. I installed it in a corner of my family room in a bookshelf, so the bottom-fire port reflects off of a hard surface and reinforces the front-firing driver by reflecting off the wall and the floor. We watched "Avatar" and the explosions, Hometree falling, Mech footfalls, etc were really good. This is a great unit if you are tight on space as I am. Get the Impact-12 if you need even more low-end punch and have the room for it.
