Come hang out with the TRX
I have been exercising since I played varsity soccer in high school. I have used free weights, machines, circuit and cardio training, and I have seen results. When first starting back into weightlifting, I would get sore, but then that would taper off. I recently had to take a job with a long commute, so I was not able to make it to my gym. I cancelled my gym membership, but I recently built a home gym in my garage. I don't have much space, so I wanted something that was compact yet multi-functional. I had a fitness enthusiast friend who recommended the TRX. I had seen this system before at the gym, and was admittedly intimidated, but this friend knows her stuff, so I took a gamble. At first, I tried using this on a low-budget squat rack/cage, but without the cage being bolted to the floor, it just was not stable enough to hold me. I then tried the traditional method of anchoring to the door. Wow! That really works. I initially thought the exercises would be easy, but woah, they are a challenge - in a good way. It takes a bit of adjustment if you are used to weightlifting, but this system really engages a wider range of muscle that dumbbells or barbells alone. I am more sore than I have been in a long time, and I am already feeling stronger after just using it 3 days this week! I'm not sure how it will shape & tone my body in the near future, but I'm feeling hopeful that I can unlock my former hidden lean, athletic form. Just give it a try. You won't be disappointed. You can even take this on trips. How convenient is that?!

Not what I expected
6 of 8 found this helpful They say that you get what you pay for, and it's true. For such a low price, I should have known something would be off. The item took quite a while to reach me. I had been waiting on it to start a project that was overdue. The stands were flimsy, but they will work. The backdrops themselves though are of horrible quality. It comes with 3 backdrops: white, black and green. I chose to use the white, and it's not what I thought it would be. I was assuming the backdrop would roll down like a projector screen, but you actually have to clip it at the top. The white canvas was so thin that you could actually see through it! I tried putting a white bed sheet behind it, which helped a small amount. The backdrop had so many fold lines that it took me over an hour to steam them all out! When I finally took test pics, they were just awful, and the shadows were everywhere. I will be using the stand, but not the backdrops. I tried using a wide roll of paper, and the photo quality is vastly improved. I would suggest either buying this kit for the legs, and then using paper, or devising a system that you can bolt to your wall, and either use a huge paper roll or a high-quality cloth backdrop.

Apple iPod Mini
This iPod has quite a lot of storage space (for me anyway) - 4 gigs. I like the green color of the case, and the click wheel has lots of options. I have found the feature that allows me to constantly have the screen backlight on to be very helpful. I was jogging at 6 this morning, and the backlight served as a mini flashlight! The only drawback is the weight of this iPod. I am probably biased because I am used to the featherweight iPod Shuffle I had previously. Also, I wish that the seller had warned me about the short battery life. I charge my iPod every day, but the longest playing time I have had while at the gym so far is 1.5 hours. Normally, an iPod should get at least 8 consecutive playing hours. It's a quick fix though, and a new battery should solve that problem. I am not complaining though. For $50, it's a helluva deal!
