Works with work-arounds
These are awesome little interfaces for iOS. Unfortunately, possibly due to recent updates, it does not read as an audio interface in any DAW. This isn't a huge problem for us, since an interface plugged into the hub IS recognized, and so are any midi devices plugged in, so it's functioning well in combination with the interface it was meant to replace. So it works, but not as planned.
Be aware that there are no XLR inputs, so this is better as an accessory for a 2x2 interface than as a replacement for one.

Love these!
These are perfect for our needs. Your mileage may vary. We got 3 of these for our live mobile setup, which relies heavily on IPads for sound generation and processing. At $30 per, there's simply nothing in the class. The audio sounds clean and smooth, the pre-amps don't have a lot of gain but we don't really need more for what we're doing with it...some dynamic mics might require a Fethead to get to the right levels.
The midi in/outs are a fine bonus and otherwise unheard of at this price point.
Be aware that there are some issues with cords, especially when buying open box. The device uses a 10-pin Mini USB cord; it will not work with the common 5-pin version. This can be frustrating, especially if, like us, the cord was missing from your shipment. The other cord is a lightning iOS cord that is useful with older iPads and iPhones; with a DC power cord attached, it will actually directly charge the iPad, something we have not seen with other such devices. Unfortunately, this power cord is not included and the commercial replacements are nearly as much as we paid for each device. Assessing the proper power cord can also be a struggle, but a DC-to-USB variety cord wound up doing the trick for $9.
All in all, this is a great utility device if you use tablets and phones in your live act, or as a handy recording tool on the road, once the cord/connection issues get settled.
