One of YMO's best

A bit uneven, but with the genius song "Key" on it, this album is a must for YMO fans!

hellboy

I bought it because Ive read the graphic novels its based on. I like the crazy beings inhabiting it, from zombie nazis to strange old scientists and, of course Hellboy himself. The film is less dark than the novels, with more emphasis on the main character who turns out to be a laid-back and bored guy with a difficult love life and problems with authority. Without Hellboys great understated sense of humor and terrific one-liners it would have been a fairly uninteresting film, but now you end up really liking the big old guy with a severe skinproblem (hes red).

The Tenant

A very strong movie. Either you feel drawn to Polanskis films or you dont understand them, maybe both. He makes films using them same symbolic language as you would find if you started doing dreamanalysis, that is why the story doesnt seem to really hang together at times, just like a "real" dream. The Tenant is no exception and for me it is one of his most disturbing films, showing how deep unconcious programmings decide our actions and not-as we would like to think-our conscious choices. I saw it the first time when I was a teenager and I remember being very frightened in a special deep kind of way and now I understand that it was because it showed me what was hidden in my unconscious, and I wasnt prepared for that. Are you?
