Amazing Read
One of Stratton's better books on the breed. This one contains much more information on the dogs themselves, and also the breed-specific legislation which was creeping up on the breed in the late 1970s & early 1980s.
There are 100s of photos showing the breed as a pet and "sporting dog", plus a re-enactment of the classic photo depicted on the back of Stratton's first book on the breed.
This book has more pages than the first but is smaller in height than the other two books by this author.

5/5
A very basic book for the first-time boxer owner. The author's own world-famous Jacquet boxers also grace the pages in dozens of colour photos.
There is is a brief history chapter followed by information on all aspects of caring for a dog. Much of the text in these chapters can be applied to any dog breed, so anyone looking for boxer-specific care would do better to fish out Tomita's much bigger (and pricier) World of the Boxer.
If you just want some good general info and / or nice photos of boxers, then this small book is suitable.

Yummy!
"Tripe soup" doesn't sound very nice but it tastes great. Tastes good fried or microwaved, on its own or with sweetcorn (my favourite way to eat it). Keep in the fridge after opening, as it goes furry within a day if left in the pantry. I prefer this one (beeef tripe in tomato sauce) to the one in jelly, and much prefer the beef one to the pork.
