Best Knitting Needles Ever!

Look At Life - Swinging London (DVD)
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a must for any one who loves London as well as how life was in a bygone age!! A set of 16 mini films about the reconstruction and general life in and around central London dating from the late 1950s to mid 60s. They show the rebuilding of the city after the war and the modern tower blocks and offices that were springing up all over. Interesting clips on how the London market curcuit was and the characters that ran it. I have watched it over and over, you never get bored. Funniest scene for me is the chap on the scaffold, procariously risking life and limb in mid air high above the city in his leather soled shoes and a cloth cap!! They certainly don't make construction workers like that anymore! A brilliant brilliant piece of London history.
