ProNav PNN300 HGV satnav
13 of 14 found this helpful This is a great nav device if like me you're a HGV driver and deliver in rural areas. Used it for the first time this morning and it got me to my destination without any of the usual problems on country roads where you can't follow the signpost to the place you want due to vehicle restrictions.
Easy enough to operate but I did find the user manual a bit brief. Visibility of the screen when the sun is out is good and so is the level of volume (although you can tune it into the cabs fm radio if you wanted to, I didn't bother)
Mapping is nice and clear and I was impressed with the windscreen mount. When it's on, it's definitely on! No wobble or vibration even over rough country lanes.
The time of arrival at destination was scarily accurate (within 2 minutes over a 4hr drive)
I would like to have seen a hard case included in the price just to add a bit more protection when it's not in use and also a 240v charger would be handy, even though you can buy these as extras, the other satnav's I've owned have had them included as standard.
Overall, I would recommend this device to any HGV driver looking for a new one as it's highly programmable for every conceivable truck type and simple to switch to car mode for leisure time.
