Good for detaching your mind from the material world and the "rat-race," - oh, and ego!
I haven't completed reading this book yet, just started, but I'm really enjoying it. If you're into spirituality, calming the "monkey mind" and trying to approach life in a different and more effective way, then maybe you'll be drawn to this book (subconsciously). I hope this books helps to make you a more calmer person. It's a lot easier to deal with life and it's stresses and people, when you have a calmer mind. This book is for the mind and body. It focuses on releasing tension from the muscles and relaxing the mind. It's all about "letting go..."

Excellent
I loved this book! It's been one of my favourite books so far! You'll have to believe in things of the spiritual realm to read this book. If not, you may laugh at the author. Her poverty that she experienced most of her life, really made me appreciate all the high quality food I have for example. I felt like I've got a lot, after reading her book and hearing about what she went through. It's important to read life stories like hers. There are so many people out there that are so much worse off than us. I'll repeat the first sentence - I loved this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and spend much of my spare time reading it!

We need to have more self-love (self-worth, self-value, self-compassion, self-kindness/care)
We are in a time now, where there is a real lack of love in the world. The world has become so cold. One of the important things that Lorna mentions in this book, is that you can only love another, as much as you love yourself. This book is creating awareness of how much humanity has locked its love away and what we can do about it - learning to love ourselves more. Lorna isn’t taking about arrogance, or selfishness, she’s talking about self-worth, becoming a person who no longer puts yourself down or depreciates yourself. It’s quite futile really - to put ourselves down, or be negative about ourselves. Lorna really stresses, that the more you learn to love yourself, the less judgemental and critical you become of yourself and others. Don’t we need a world that’s a bit more like that! This book really is affective and made me conscious of my own self love and that I could work on loving myself more. Lorna said that we need to show a lot more love to children, so we can make this world a more loving place. She writes in the book, that God intended, each generation to become more loving. The more we love ourselves, the more we can love the precious children of the world. The more we can love our spouse, partner, sister, mother, brother, father, cat, pet, and our child/children. I loved the book, it’s worth it, and you’re worth it! :-)
