Topping TP60 TA2022 Class T Digital Power Amplifier 2X80W Stereo 220V/110 HIFI

Great amp for great price

This amp is excellent. I purchased it after reading online reviews. There is no noise whatsoever and the sound is quite musical. It drives my bookshelves Tannoy mercury v1i with ease. I tried using it with little bear p3 preamp and also with highly modified music angel preamp. I have bypassed the volume control and using it as a power amp. Bypassing volume improved the sound further a notch. It can drive even my floorstanders Dali ikon 6 mk2 with ease and grunt. This is my first class t (D) amp and I am impressed. I have another quad 405 (highly modified) and I like it very much but Topping tp60 sounds cleaner than the quad. Class D sound is different but I like it. I have no hesitation in saying that topping tp60 is a giant Slayer. Unbeatable in its price range and beyond. Build quality is very good. I plan on changing the input capacities and internal signal wiring for further improvement. ------------------------- Update: 30 June 2017. I used those red Audiophiler capacitors 2.2uf 400v to replace the stock capacitors and it has made a huge positive difference. The vocals a great now as per my taste. Also changed the internal signal input wiring to silver plated copper of larger guage. Instead of connectors I soldered the wired directly to the RCA jacks and the PCB. Removed the stick pot, bypassed the input and wiper, from input to ground connected 10k resistors on each channel. Now the sound is fabulous. This modified amp rivals my quad 405. ----------------- This topping tp60 is in my secondary system and before it I was using a completely refurbished to original specs Sansui AU317 as power amplifier (it has pre out and power in). I think the Sansui will be up for sale very soon. :-) Do not hesitate to buy topping tp60 and I'm sure you will love its sound...crispy and musical.

Value for money.

Value for money tubes. I guess these are durable too. Sound is not better than their western counterparts like 5679, 2c51 etc. You can buy just as an option.

Some of the best silver mica capacitors

These are great silver mica capacitors. I measured a few of the lot and these are within high tolerance as stated. (2%)Very good for using in audio signal path. Silver mica works better than film capacitors for high frequencies. For the price you can't go wrong. Stock them up while still available.
