Excellent interesting history series
This is non fiction so the question about "characters" doesn't quite fit but the real life people are definitely engaging. Enthusiastically presented history which is fascinating.

A good old one of its time.
This is a very well printed version of an old film. Picture much clearer than the first version I got and with extra scenes.
Best thing in it is the amusing and authoritative performance by Marius Goring as a gay former commando - he is only on the screen for about 10 minutes in total but dominates the plot outcome.
