Great product - a real classic
The 1st (white) and 3d Gen (square) nanos work with the Griffin Tunebud Lanyard earbuds. The 2nd, 4th and 5th Gen Nano do not work with Tunebuds. Lanyards are a great concept - instead of strapping the nano to your arm or in a pocket you wear it on a cord around your neck, inside your shirt, or outside. The earbud wires are short runs from the back of your neck to your ears - out of sight, like the Secret Service. The in-ear Tunebuds have good fidelity and cut out most external noise - and if you want more noise isolation you can wear them under Bose quitecomfort 3 active noise cancelation headphones, giving both passive and active noise cancelation. The tundbuds come with several cups to fit any ear. The main benefit, however, is losing the headphone cords- you know the one in the Apple ads look cool but you have this darn cord getting in the way with what you are doing.The Lanyard avoids that. The tunebud connector snaps into the nano securely - never a fear of dropping it. It hangs low enough that you can see it to change playlists without removing it. The 3d Gen Nano is a great product - the newer ipods have a bit more memory but the connector pitch is different and they will not work with the Lanyard Tunebud. I have not seen any lanyard products that work for G4 or G5 Nanos - which puts the 3d Gen as best in class for all the nanos, and the Griffin Tunebud an essential accessory. Great products - real classics.
