Works for me
I use it to play audio books which i load onto a tiny 1Gb usb stick. In practice you can only put one audo book at a time on the USB because the player has only "next" and "previous" buttons to move between the audio files on the USB stick - you can't switch directories (folders) to a different audio book. I think the player will play every mp3 files on the USB stick in some sort of sequence. Trust me, just one book at a time is best. Battery lasts maybe four hours - enough for me. Quick rechange, less than an hour. The flashing LEDs are a pain but read the instructions, it isn't hard to turn them off but you have to do it every time you use the player. The FM radio works fairly well, keeps your last station and auto-tunes, making switching stations easy. The best feature - this gizmo very clear sound quality. It can't go really loud but in a quiet place you can easily hear recorded speech clearly.

Solid power supply
Low fan noise, also low electrical noise. Great for powering a sensitive sound card, which is what I wanted. Never skimp on a power supply. I'd use this brand again.

Slightly unusual use?
Using only one channel as a pre-amp for my powered sub-woofer, phono input to headphone output. This amp controls the sub a lot better than my main amplifier, the result is a tighter, better defined bass so I'm delighted with it. Only snag is it switches off after half an hour without a signal - but it has to be manually switched on when you want to hear it again. The lights on the front tell you if the amp is on or off.
