Don't waste your money on cheap immitations of this great Menda product.
1 of 1 found this helpful I was turned off by the high price of this product and went for two knock--offs costing less than half as much. They were USELESS on thin liquids like alcohol, mineral spirits and lacquer thinner; the liquids I use... I already had one of these Menda bottles for about 10 years and it has always worked like new. Now I have three I expect to work fine and last for many years. The knock-offs went in the trash.

A good product but not programmed properly at factory. Instant over heat.
A good product. Beware however that when first powered up, it went to maximum heat (900+F) and scorched the soldering tip. Instruction sheet on how to program temperature has errors and mixes F and C values in the instructions. An English proficient technical writer needs to review the instructions.
